This Gallery covers a time when locos were blue, coaches were blue and grey and you could get loco hauled trains from Wick to Penzance (changing at Inverness and Aberdeen).
Its also a site about railway history where hopefully every photo tells a story , in those days from the 1970's through to the ever changing present day. Remember the Deltics, Class 40's, Manchester Victoria as it was, remember Tinsley depot, Haymarket leaps(you did 'em didn't you), Remember those days??? then I hope some of these images will bring back happy memories.
The site also includes some more up to date images which have already become history, Class 87's, 56's, loco hauled WCML trains.
